A Thread/Threat of a Stampede.

One of my favorite new artists that I've come across recently.
Word on the street is that you'll be hearing a lot from/about this band very shortly.
This is the lovely B-side from their newest single "Belongings", which is also quite beautiful.

Even the darkest night feels small against the morning light.

Happy Friday. It's been a long, long week.
As such, I needed some soothing, dreamy music to wind down to and the new Sun Airway album is fitting the bill quite nicely.
Time to get lost for a bit.

Trying hard to find a better place and a better state of mind.

Song of the day from my favorite (mini) album of the week.
Due out on Frenchkiss in the early fall.

Also, here's what our little spread from an impromptu party on a Friday afternoon for a hip bachelor on a rooftop of a music studio in Soho looks like.
Check out the tiny cassette player by the buns. It rocked out a serious booty mix.

Baby, I will let you be right.

Got to spend a lovely little time this afternoon with Laura (aka The Mynabirds).
Roamed around Soho a bit and had a coffee in the garden at Saturdays.
She's just in town for a moment doing a little press promoting her new album that's coming out on Saddle Creek
(look for her in an upcoming issue of Bust alongside Best Coast and Florence & The Machine).
It's an awesome record, by the way. Bluesy, folky, a tad rugged and most of all, beautiful.
Have a listen to the first single here or download it from her band's site.
