Always keep singing it, sets your mind in motion.

Oddly (?) and historically, going against all my hipster friends and cool tendencies, I was never a fan of The Fiery Furnaces.
Then slowly and surely, they started growing on me.
Then Eleanor pulls out all the stops and makes a beautiful and compelling album about her time in NYC.
So bam, I'm hooked in. She's speaking my sentimental language.
Check it.

There's nothing to do in the Midwest but dream.

I discovered Joseph Arthur years ago and ever since his music and in particular, his voice, is inextricably entwined with road trips out on the West Coast.
Listening to his new album makes we want to get in the car and drive aimlessly, with wind whipping through the car, down open roads, past prairie lands, off the beaten path small towns and high-plain deserts.

Song of the day from album of the week.
Can't even begin to tell you enough how much I love this.

I just could not keep her from loving the silver sun.

I loved Crystal Stilts first album, but for whatever reason, it took me a little longer to vibe with this new one.
That said, it's coming on strong now, so it gets the awesome title of "song of the day from album of the week".
Listen to it loud. Dig.
