You've got sharp and sparkling pleasure.

Hadn't posted anything for a little bit as I've frankly been in the thick of it with work projects.
That said, I wanted to share a track from a band called Motopony that I don't know very much about yet, but a band that I'm enjoying getting to know.
This song looks to be the lead single of their self-titled new album, which so far in my listening is a pretty great record.
Reminds me of Joseph Arthur at times, though it's really in its own realm.
Have a listen.

And those words are stained upon your skin.

If you haven't heard it yet, you should really check out Hanni El Khatib's album "Will The Guns Come Out".
Super solid release.
Here's a gem to entice you.

Always keep singing it, sets your mind in motion.

Oddly (?) and historically, going against all my hipster friends and cool tendencies, I was never a fan of The Fiery Furnaces.
Then slowly and surely, they started growing on me.
Then Eleanor pulls out all the stops and makes a beautiful and compelling album about her time in NYC.
So bam, I'm hooked in. She's speaking my sentimental language.
Check it.

There's nothing to do in the Midwest but dream.

I discovered Joseph Arthur years ago and ever since his music and in particular, his voice, is inextricably entwined with road trips out on the West Coast.
Listening to his new album makes we want to get in the car and drive aimlessly, with wind whipping through the car, down open roads, past prairie lands, off the beaten path small towns and high-plain deserts.

Song of the day from album of the week.
Can't even begin to tell you enough how much I love this.
