Women of the world take over. Cuz if you don't, the world will come to an end and it won't take long.

Working on a bunch of projects today and as I was nosing through tracks, I came across this.
An oldie, but a goodie.
Figured it'd be nice for those who may have never heard it.
Plus, I completely agree with the sentiment.
And funny enough, throughout my life, I randomly find myself having these lyrics pop up in my head from time to time.
Just roaming around, singing this song.

They say that they want you when they don't.

The first time I ever saw The Dodos was a few years back at Todd P's party at SXSW.
It was one of those times where you just stumble in not expecting anything in particular and then walk out blown away.

This is my favorite track so far off their new "Time To Die" album:

Dusk before my very eyes.

OK, Yo La Tengo, I am falling back in love with you all over again.

(P.S. I was trying to post the track "More Stars Than There Are In Heaven" but apparently the file is too big to post).

Love on and in the sea.

Yeti is the best.
Seriously.
Amazing writing, interviews, ideas, art & music.
Just picked up issue #7 from Other Music the other day.
This track by Moon Duo comes from the CD included with the zine.
Big ups, Mike McGonigal.
I miss you and Portland.
Keep on keeping music alive and thriving.

Tracks carry ashes.

Reminds me of the early 90's Bristol scene, for sure, but twisted with her own wild style.
Saw her open up for Massive Attack last year at the Meltdown.
Good stuff.
Though it came out last year, I was vibing with it, so I just felt like making this the song of the day.

Be Your Own Maker, Dream Wild, Live Bravely.

An amazing package arrived in the mail from the always awesome Teenage Teardrops record label a few days ago.
New 12"s from Infinite Body and Lucky Dragons, plus my favorite new t-shirt.

And here is, in the words of Cali, the sleeper hit off the Lucky Dragons Open Power 12":

Plus, I not only got to see The xx open up for Friendly Fires at Music Hall, which was perfect and lovely;
I got to hang out with the always charming Ms. Green (looking tough).
Lots of goodness. Lucky man, I.
